Circular 2 -T1- 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The term has started in earnest now with afternoon activities underway (weather permitting) and I trust that your children have settled in well with their new teachers.
I am sure that many of you will be interested to know how our grade 7s did in their exams last year.
CAMBRIDGE
Our overall school results were in the (HIGH) category which is described as being – “Learners show aspects of good performance and outstanding performance”.
ZIMSEC RESULTS 2024
Pass Rate
English - 100%
Maths - 100%
Agric-Science - 100%
Social Science - 100%
Phys Ed + Art - 98.8%
Shona - 57.5%
We are very pleased with both sets of results and extend our congratulations to the students and all the teachers involved.
The children have already started working hard towards equalling or bettering these fine results.
New Teacher
We welcome Ms Leesa Nhapi to our staff as she teaches 6 S and we wish her all the best at Twin Rivers. Ms Nhapi comes highly recommended and I’m sure that she will be a great addition to our teaching compliment.
Sports and Clubs
We have, as usual, an exciting and full extra-mural programme where there is almost certainly something for everyone and we wish all our children a full and fun-filled term of sports and clubs. Whilst we don’t want to be too disrupted by the rain, we need it so badly.
On occasions we will almost certainly have to cancel activities as we are basically in a vlei and our grounds get very wet indeed. Please bear with us. If we do have to cancel then we would really appreciate you coming to collect your children as soon as possible as it is very difficult managing 200 +/- children in the rain !
This term is mainly cross country, athletics and cricket but do check your afternoon activities timetable for all the extras.
Staff Car Park
There are many parents, mostly new from ECD, who are walking their children through the staff car park in the mornings. For safety reasons please do not do this. There are clear paths either side for your use.
Dress Code
We try to get the children to leave their classrooms fully dressed and looking smart. They quickly seem to end up with their shirts out and socks down ! Please don’t let them walk with you in that state. Help us by making them tidy up as soon as you see them. Thank you !
Here’s to a productive term of work, play and rain !
Kind regards
M. N. MACKENZIE
