Where has the term gone? Half Term is just around the corner and exams have already begun!
RAMADAN MUBARAK to all our Muslim families!
As per your enrolment contract, we require one full term’s notice of withdrawal in writing to the Headmistress, in the event of a child being withdrawn from the school. If the requisite notice has not been given, the parent(s) / guardian(s) will be liable to pay one term’s fee in lieu of notice. You may give the school provisional notice before your move is confirmed, to avoid being penalized.
ARRIVAL AND COLLECTION
It is important that all children are at school on time in the morning. The bell rings at 7.45am and therefore they should arrive at school no later than 7.40am.
I am going to be very strict regarding latecomers. The gate will be closed at 7.45am. Any children arriving after this time will have to be accompanied by a parent to the office or their classroom.
All Grade 1s and 2s are to be collected at 12.30pm or 1pm at the very latest, from the verandah on the south side of the Hall. Grade 1 and 2 pupils will NOT be allowed to stay and wait for an older sibling to finish sport.
If you organize for someone else to fetch your child, please send written authorization or call the office to inform us of who is collecting your child. If your child is walking home they will require a gate pass from the office.
When parking in the car park please be considerate of others. Please do not double park or park-in others. Parents, please do not leave your valuables in your car. The school will not be responsible for any loss of property.
STAFF CAR PARK
When collecting or taking your child to the classroom please do not walk through the Staff Car Park. Either walk on the paths or the field. ALL Grades 3 to 7 children are to be collected from under the trees on the field near the swimming pool area. No parents are to wait in the Quad or in front of the Grade 4 classrooms.
NO CHILDREN ARE TO WALK THROUGH THE STAFF CAR PARK AT ANY TIME.
PLEASE USE THE PATHS.
If you need to see your child’s teacher please fill in an appointment form with Mrs Alves in Reception. The teacher will then reply to you and give the form to your child.

Congratulations to Carlton Chapungu (Grade 3N) and Matthew Mhlanga (Grade 7Z) for being selected to play in the Zimbabwe Junior Chess Team!
The bullying and indiscipline within the school has reached alarming proportions. Bullying will not be tolerated at Twin Rivers School, as stated in our Code of Conduct. If you do not have a copy of the Code of Conduct, please collect one from Mrs Smith. Any child caught bullying will be suspended from school for at least one week, depending on the severity of the offence. If your child misbehaves the teacher or Headmistress will deal with the problem and you will be notified.
